Principal Business Analyst, Compensation / Anaplan Location: Maple Grove, MN, 55311, USA. Onsite, hybrid work model: local office at least three days per week.

Boston Scientific is seeking a Principal Business Analyst focused on Anaplan and compensation strategy to build, optimize, and scale Anaplan solutions supporting sales incentive compensation and broader commercial operations. The role is cross‑functional, partnering with Sales Operations, Human Resources, IT, and the Divisional Sales Compensation team to shape the divisional compensation model through technical innovation and strategic insight.

Responsibilities

Partner with divisional compensation teams to build and enhance Anaplan models that support evolving business needs.

Drive scalable, solution‑oriented decisions within Anaplan to ensure consistency and sustainability.

Communicate effectively with leadership about system capabilities and limitations, and offer alternative solutions when needed.

Support and maintain existing Anaplan models, including continuous improvement, capability expansion, and error resolution.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficient, effective solutions.

Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams to represent compensation requirements and system capabilities.

Perform compensation and performance analytics to drive insights and decision‑making.

Become an expert on data sources and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Adapt quickly to shifting priorities based on business needs.

Demonstrate a team‑first mindset while able to work independently.

Develop integrations with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, and SAP BusinessObjects.

Lead and contribute to special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a STEM discipline.

Minimum 3 years of experience building Anaplan models.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Effective communicator and collaborator, including with leadership‑level stakeholders.

Proven ability to lead project timelines and proactively communicate issues or risks.

Strong math and logic‑based problem‑solving skills.

Curious mindset and passion for ensuring data integrity.

Can‑do attitude with high precision and commitment to continuous learning.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Commercial Operations, Accounting, Finance, or related analytical fields.

Experience with incentive compensation systems, particularly hierarchical structures.

Familiarity with Tableau, Alteryx, SAP BusinessObjects, and SQL.

Salary:

$99,100 – $188,300 (variable compensation and incentives may apply.)
