Job Title: IT Field Technician

Location: Multi-sites, providing support to Hospitals, Inpatient, Outpatient, Residential, and Corporate Offices
Position Summary
The IT Field Technician is responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support to end users across all Beacon Behavioral Partners facilities. This role ensures that all computer systems, networks, and equipment are operating efficiently and securely. The technician will assist in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT assets, while adhering to HIPAA and organizational security standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide onsite and remote desktop support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Install, configure, and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, printers, phones, and other IT equipment. Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Assist with network connectivity issues including Wi-Fi, VPN, and wired connections. Perform system imaging, patching, and updates to ensure device compliance. Escalate complex issues to higher-tier IT staff or vendors as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of assets, configurations, and service tickets. Support onboarding and offboarding processes by preparing and retrieving IT equipment. Travel between facilities to perform hands-on support, installations, and maintenance. Ensure all IT practices comply with HIPAA, company security policies, and best practices. Participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance or on-call rotations as required. Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in healthcare or multi-site environments. Certifications (Preferred):
CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent. Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals. HIPAA Security Awareness Training (provided by company). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 suite. Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, and basic network troubleshooting. Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues efficiently. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and manage time effectively. Understanding of data privacy and security best practices in healthcare environments. Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (e.g., computers, monitors, networking equipment). Frequent travel to facilities across regions. Extended periods of standing, walking, and working in varying office environments. Work Environment
Field-based role supporting multiple healthcare locations. May occasionally require evening or weekend work during system rollouts or outages. Collaboration with IT department, clinical staff, and external vendors.
