Full-Time, 12-hour shifts (9:00 a.m.-9:30 p.m. or 9:00 p.m.-9:30 a.m.) Salary Range:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour, DOE
What You'll Do: The Impact You'll Make
As a
Shift Supervisor - UMCR , you'll lead and support field-based crisis response teams that handle non-violent community calls related to mental health, substance use, and well-being checks. You'll play a vital role in maintaining safety, quality, and compassionate service delivery while strengthening partnerships with local agencies and first responders.
Leadership & Supervision • Provide on-shift leadership, guidance, and field support to crisis response teams. • Assign and monitor calls received through centralized dispatch to ensure timely and appropriate response. • Conduct team debriefings, provide real-time feedback, and coordinate staff schedules. • Mentor team members and support their professional growth through coaching and accountability.
Crisis Response & Intervention • Respond directly to field-based situations as needed to provide de-escalation and risk assessment. • Ensure staff apply harm reduction and trauma-informed practices in every client interaction. • Support linkage to mental health, housing, and substance use resources following crisis interventions.
Program Oversight & Collaboration • Review field documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program standards. • Maintain up-to-date community resource directories and referral pathways. • Strengthen collaborative relationships with LAPD divisions, emergency services, and community providers. • Promote coordinated care across Alcott programs to ensure holistic client support.
What You'll Bring: Your Qualifications
Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
and one (1) year of relevant experience , or an Associate degree with equivalent field experience. • Minimum
one (1) year of supervisory experience
(preferred). • Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, behavioral health crises, or substance use preferred.
Skills & Knowledge • Strong understanding of crisis triage, assessment, and stabilization practices. • Familiarity with harm reduction, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches. • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. • Knowledge of Los Angeles County community-based services and resources. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Licenses & Requirements • Valid California Driver's License, clean driving record, and insurability under Alcott's policy. • Successful
Live Scan background clearance. •
COVID-19 vaccination and one (1) booster required
(medical or religious exemptions must be approved prior to hire).
