What You'll Do: The Impact You'll Make
As a Resident Aide, you'll ensure overnight safety, provide supportive care, and help maintain a stable environment for residents in our ODR Interim Housing program. You'll be a steady, trusted presence throughout the night, supporting both facility operations and resident wellbeing.
Resident Support & Safety Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs. Support residents with daily routines and encourage independence. Conduct regular rounds to monitor resident wellbeing and facility conditions. Assist with basic meal preparation, hygiene support, and assigned activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and substance-free environment. Facility Oversight & Emergency Response
Monitor cleanliness and safety of shared spaces and sleeping areas. Respond to emergencies and incidents according to protocol and complete required documentation. Support with monitoring and recording of self-administered medications. Communication & Documentation
Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and end-of-shift communication. Report concerns or changes in client behavior to the Program Manager and oncoming staff. What You'll Bring: Your Qualifications
Required
High School diploma or GED. 1+ year experience in mental health, substance use, or social services supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. If in recovery, at least 1 year of continuous sobriety. Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). Valid California Driver's License, clean driving record, and insurability under agency policy. Successful Live Scan background clearance. Preferred
Current CPR certification. Patience and a calming demeanor. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to act as a positive role model in a community-based setting. Why Join Alcott?
