The Oakland Ballet Company is seeking a dedicated and organized volunteer to serve as an Event Coordinator for our spectacular 60th Anniversary fundraising gala. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in a landmark event celebrating our rich history and securing our future. Responsibilities: Planning & Collaboration:

Actively participate in recurring planning meetings with the gala committee and staff. Contribute ideas and assist in the development of event logistics, including timeline, vendor coordination, and volunteer assignments.

Volunteer Management:

Assist in the recruitment, training, and scheduling of event-day volunteers. Serve as a point of contact for volunteers and provide guidance and support throughout the event.

Day-of Coordination:

Be present and engaged on the day of the gala to ensure all activities run smoothly. Assist with setup, guest check-in, managing volunteer stations, and overall event flow.

Problem-Solving:

Be prepared to proactively address any unexpected issues that may arise during the event, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Skills & Qualifications: Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Reliable and punctual.

A passion for the arts and the mission of the Oakland Ballet Company is a plus.

Time Commitment: Bi-weekly planning meetings leading up to the event.

Full-day commitment on the day of the gala (details to be provided).
