The Production Engineer will play a vital role in optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring production efficiency in the aerospace and defense industry. This position is based in Bedford and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with some of the largest government contractors in country.
Job Description
Develop and implement efficient production processes to improve manufacturing performance. Analyze workflow and identify areas for optimization to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and processes. Monitor production output to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve any production-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. Provide technical support and training to the production team as needed. Maintain compliance with all safety and environmental regulations in the production area. Prepare detailed reports on production metrics, improvements, and outcomes for management review. A successful Production Engineer should have:
A strong background in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools to design and optimize processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure production quality. Strong communication skills to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
