Automation Engineer

for a

Contract

with a client in

Jersey City, NJ.

This role involves designing test plans, executing backend validations, and developing automation scripts while collaborating with developers to resolve issues early in the cycle.

Rate Range:

$49/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Automation Engineer job responsibilities include:

Design and develop automation scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver to validate backend application functionality. Perform manual and automated testing to ensure usability, performance, and reliability of systems. Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test data based on project requirements and specifications. Conduct regression testing using automated scripts and manual validation as needed. Log, track, and retest defects using tools like Jira, ensuring timely resolution and quality assurance. Collaborate with developers and business teams to identify issues early in the development cycle and improve test coverage. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in manual and automation testing. Hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium with Java and a solid understanding of automation frameworks. Pay Details:

$49.00 to $56.00 per hour
