Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a manufacturing client in the Cookeville area to hire a full-time
Cost Planning Manager.
This position will lead efforts to increase profitability and reduce costs across all new and ongoing projects by driving cost estimation, budget tracking, and continuous cost improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement cost management strategies to support profit growth
Drive accurate cost estimating and profitability/ROI planning across projects
Provide accurate quotations and re-quotations, including for engineering changes
Lead cost-reduction activities from pre-production through launch
Monitor progress, track actual costs vs. forecasts and report project profitability to senior leadership
Improve processes for cost tracking, data analysis, and internal communication
Leverage historical trends and performance to improve forecasting accuracy
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend operational improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally to improve cost planning accuracy
Provide direct leadership to cost planning department staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in cost planning, cost engineering, program controls, or financial/project analysis
2+ years of experience managing teams and direct reportsAutomotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Position Offers:
Base salary starting in the 70K-$90K range
