Job Summary The Payroll Clerk assists the Payroll Manager in handling and processing payroll for 700+ employees through Paycom. The Payroll Clerk processes invoices related to Payroll, performs GL Account reconciliations, and provides Payroll reporting and analysis. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Essential Duties/Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll and other off-cycle payroll Review and process timecards Collect and process daily reports Distribute all signed checks as required File and store all internal reports Track employee receivables, annuities, loans, and garnishments Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and for payment Prepare and maintain payroll reports, spreadsheets, correspondences, and other files Prepare ledger entries with earnings and deductions Assist in monthly closing by reviewing balance sheets Perform filing, copying, and scanning of payroll records Attend to payroll inquiries from employees Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills Effective interpersonal skills Understanding of basic accounting terminology Basic computer skills are required in order to perform basic data entry Basic knowledge of Excel or similar spreadsheet applications Ability to organize and prioritize workload Ability to work effectively and efficiently under stress Understand and follow instructions Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or similar field; or a have a certified payroll professional accreditation; or at least 3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
This job is on-site This job operates in an office setting and requires frequent times of sitting, standing, repetitive motion and talking Ability to lift up to 24 pounds and move from place to place. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to safe work practices
