LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant Fixed Assets for one of our customers located in Emeryville, California. This role is hybrid and will be in-office 3 days a week. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing store asset lists for inventory auditors, tracking existing assets in SAP, and managing fixed assets, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation. You will also assist with internal and external audit requests and participate in cross-functional projects as needed.

Responsibilities: Review and process fixed asset disposals in SAP Collaborate with various departments including Real estate, Construction, Account Payable to validate supporting documentation for asset disposals Prepare monthly fixed asset journal entries, including reclasses, accruals, transfers and depreciation adjustments Perform reconciliations between the SAP fixed asset subledger and the general ledger Support the month-end close activities including rollforwards, reconciliations, and analysis (flux & variance) Partner with the Internal Audit team to ensure disposals and supporting documentation comply with internal controls and audits by provide supporting documents on fixed asset transactions. Analyze and ensure the capitalization of assets is in accordance with accounting policies and standards. Participate in adhoc cross-functional projects as needed. Requirements:

Strong general accounting technical skills and experience in fixed assets is preferred A combination of corporate accounting experience in both a public company and public accounting firm would be ideal. Industry experience in retail or consumer packaged goods would be nice to have SAP experience preferred Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and experience working with large data sets (formulas, filtering, VLOOKUP, IF/IFERROR, pivot tables). Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Fast learner with the ability to quickly understand new concepts. Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Experience: 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant working with Fixed Assets (Senior Accountant, Senior Fixed Asset Accountant, Fixed Asset Accountant) Employment Type: Temporary (5/6 months)

Pay Details:

$55.00 to $65.00 per hour
