Recruiting Manager
Location: Baltimore, MD
Status: Direct-Hire

We are currently looking for an accomplished Recruiting Manager to lead all recruitment activities for a diverse workforce of over 250 employees spread across various retail locations in the Baltimore region. The ideal candidate will be proactive, empathetic, and committed to fostering a vibrant organizational culture, boosting engagement, and ensuring compliance in a dynamic retail setting.
Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding. Collaborate with store and corporate leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and ensure uniform employee experiences. Develop and implement policies that cultivate a positive work environment, enhance retention rates, and drive productivity. Offer guidance to managers on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures. Ensure HR compliance by adhering to federal, state, and local employment regulations. Supervise payroll and benefits administration in conjunction with corporate HR and external partners. Analyze workforce metrics to facilitate decision-making and reporting. Organize training programs to elevate employee skills and engagement levels. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a multi-site or retail environment. Thorough understanding of employment laws such as EEO, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA. Demonstrated ability to handle complex employee relations issues with sensitivity and fairness. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and payroll software. Preferred certification: PHR or SHRM-CP. Benefits:

Mike Cook or as he is known in the industry "Grocery Store Mike", is a specialized grocery retail recruiter for Frontline Source Group. With more than 35+ years in the grocery retail industry, Mike started as a part-time courtesy clerk. He worked his way up to serve in-store leadership positions with both traditional and specialty food formats. His expertise lies in hiring, training, and developing company leaders for small supermarkets to large grocery store operations with hundreds of locations. This experience is what differentiates his ability to recruit top Grocery talent from other recruiters in the market place.
Throughout his career, Mike has placed an emphasis on professional development and continuing education. He was in the charter class of Brookshire University, graduating as salutatorian. He also has earned certificates of proficiency in management specialized leadership and retail management from Tyler Junior College. The later certification was in collaboration with the Western Association of Food Chains. And, he has received numerous awards and accolades for customer service and leadership.
Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently serves as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
