Company Overview
A prestigious international law firm with over 900 lawyers across 12 offices worldwide is seeking a Legal Recruiting Assistant for their New York office. The role involves supporting the Legal Recruiting Team in law student recruitment and the Summer Associate program.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with on-campus interviews (OCI), including registrations, interviewer selection, and event planning.
- Track follow‑up with candidates and lawyers.
- Assist with all aspects of the summer associate program, including onboarding, orientation, and event logistics.
- Serve as summer program contact for specific practice groups and maintain evaluation files.
- Schedule callback interviews and manage interview logistics.
- Assist with on‑campus outreach and schedule mock interviews for 1L students.
- Prepare reports and materials for Recruiting Committee meetings.
- Process and track expense vouchers and invoices.
- Review and organize the recruiting department email inbox.
- Enter resumes into viRecruit and generate follow‑up correspondence.
- Assist with lateral application interview scheduling and viRecruit updates.
- Order and maintain giveaways for students and lawyers.
- Provide administrative support, including arranging conference rooms and catering reservations.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years’ related experience preferred; experience in a fast‑paced law firm or professional services environment preferred.
- A 4‑year college degree is required.
- Must have computer skills in Word; knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and viRecruit is a plus.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be a strong team‑player.
- Must have superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to juggle multiple tasks with competing tight deadlines.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation
Pay Rate: $25 – $30/hr
