The

Food Service Business Development Manager

is a high-impact, hunter-focused sales role responsible for generating and closing new business within our Food Service division. This role will work cross-functionally to land strategic new accounts in QSR, multi-unit restaurants, Retailer Prepared Foods, and B2B manufacturing. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, persistent, and highly analytical - a self-starter who thrives on opening doors and closing deals. What You Will Do:

New Business Development (Primary Focus):

Proactively pursue and close new business opportunities in the Food Service sector. Identify target accounts aligned with Chelten House's clean-label capabilities and strategic goals. Utilize personal network, cold outreach, industry tools, trade shows, and market research to engage new prospects. Track all new business activity in CRM systems and maintain visibility across internal teams. Develop detailed new business criteria and present opportunity analysis to leadership. Customer

Account Management:

Build and maintain strong, responsive customer relationships, always upholding Chelten House's core values. Lead new product development initiatives by leveraging trends, culinary insights, and internal analytical tools. Manage customer meetings from pre-work to executive-level recaps, ensuring Chelten House is professionally represented. Communicate project status, challenges, and opportunities during weekly 1-on-1 updates and leadership reviews. Strategic Planning & Execution:

Analyze and model pricing strategies using internal cost data to ensure alignment with financial goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Culinary, R&D, Technical Services, Procurement, Finance, etc.) to execute new item launches. Create and maintain customer-specific contracts, forecasts, and financial models to track profitability and growth. Oversee logistics for new and existing customers by coordinating inventory transitions and working closely with broadline distributors. Operational Knowledge & Systems:

Navigate Chelten House's ERP and information systems to retrieve key data and monitor performance. Understand internal roles and resource channels across departments to drive timely, effective outcomes. Special Projects:

Participate in special projects such as white space analysis, competitive research, and tradeshow coordination. Performs other duties and responsibilities associated with this role as directed by management. Travel Expectations: up to 40% What You Need:

3+ years in business development, sales, or account management - ideally in foodservice manufacturing or CPG. Strong "hunter" mentality with a track record of winning new accounts and driving growth. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Experience working cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, and Finance teams. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; comfortable working with CRM or project tracking tools (e.g.,Monday.com). Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented with a drive to continuously improve. Willingness to travel up to 25%.
