WORK HOURS:

7-8 months of the year, Shift hours are 6am-2pm, and on occasion the overnight shift as needed during spring months.

During Peak Spring season (March-May), required Shift hours are 3pm-11pm

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Varsity Yearbook is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician as a member of the Yearbook team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of machinery, buildings, and equipment. You will exercise technical independence in determining work methods and procedures. You receive assignments either orally or through written instructions which may be accompanied by sketches or diagrams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Install conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and other such equipment. Test, maintain and evaluate equipment performance using voltmeters, temperature sensors, or pressure gauges. Test and calibrate HVAC controls. Perform activities in construction such as welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing. Check and repair pumps, fans, valves and motors. Repair minor equipment. Perform preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions. Troubleshoot electrical problems. Perform general facility maintenance and housekeeping QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Experience with Lockout-Tagout procedures. 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC. Technical Capacity Communication Proficiency Results Driven & Initiative EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience. *******Top Candidates will have an Electrical Journeyman License****** PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
