Travel Cath Lab Tech - $3,220 per week in Minneapolis, MN

Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1-2 years License: Valid state license preferred Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years cath lab experience scrubbing and monitoring Description: Position is for a Cath Lab Tech. Shift is from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM for 4 days per week. On-call is approximately every 4th to 5th weekend. Someone may be on-call approximately one day per week and every 4th to 5th weekend. First-timers are accepted with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Work setting experience required includes diagnostic cardiac cath lab and interventional cardiac cath lab. Cardiac cath lab procedure experience required includes cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations in adults, and hemodynamic monitoring. Experience with IABP placement/removal and interpretation of dysrhythmias is also required. Candidates should have experience in left heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA). Experience with pulmonary artery line insertion and right heart catheterization is necessary. Candidates must be able to scrub procedures and handle temporary pacemaker management. Additional procedural responsibilities include accurate monitoring, equipment setup, and performing EKG lead placement. Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias and maintaining a sterile field during procedures is essential. Candidates must have experience with vascular closure systems.
