Position Summary
The School Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services to support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development. This role is ideal for candidates who value collaboration, data‑driven intervention, and flexible scheduling. Key Responsibilities
Conduct psycho‑educational assessments and interpret results to guide instructional planning and interventions.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral support plans.
Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
Implement and monitor interventions to promote student mental health and academic success.
Assist with crisis intervention, threat assessments, and school‑wide behavioral initiatives.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data‑informed decision‑making.
Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Doctoral or Master’s degree in School Psychology from an APA‑approved program.
Current Rhode Island School Psychologist certification or eligibility.
Experience conducting assessments and providing counseling in a school setting preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
