We are seeking a highly motivated, driven, and experienced

Federal Civilian Health & Science Growth Leader

to drive our expansion and impact within the federal civilian health and science sector across the Department of Health and Human Services, with a focus on the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Base Pay Range $85,000 - $120,000 per year.

Additional Compensation Commission.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute strategic growth initiatives:

Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy in the federal civilian health & science market, identifying and targeting specific customer stakeholders and opportunities and identifying new partnerships to build a robust pipeline, all focused on achieving ambitious sales and growth targets.

Identify and cultivate key relationships:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the federal government, particularly NIH, including agency decision-makers and influencers, leveraging these connections to drive growth.

Proactively engage in daily sales activities:

Conduct daily outreach by making consistent phone calls, conducting persistent outreach (including virtual and in-person meetings), and executing daily and diligent follow‑up to achieve revenue goals and deliver measurable results in revenue and headcount.

Conduct market research and analysis:

Identify market trends, competitor activities, and emerging needs within the federal civilian health and science sector, using this intelligence to develop effective growth strategies.

Conduct disciplined capture for qualified RFP opportunities:

Apply best practices in capture activities to develop winning solutions, win themes, differentiators, teaming partners, pricing strategies, and staffing plans that result in winning new work.

Prepare proposals and presentations:

Craft compelling proposals and presentations to secure new business opportunities and partnerships, showcasing a deep understanding of the federal civilian health and science market and its growth potential.

Collaborate effectively:

Work closely with internal teams and external partners to achieve shared goals, fostering a collaborative environment that drives sales and growth.

Stay informed about industry trends and regulations:

Maintain a strong understanding of federal health policies, regulations, and industry best practices, using this knowledge to anticipate and capitalize on emerging growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific, clinical, or health‑related field. Business degrees are also acceptable.

10+ years of relevant experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales/federal business development within the civilian health and science sector, with a proven track record of exceeding sales and growth targets. Experience working at and/or winning work at NIH preferred.

Proven track record of success:

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales/growth strategies, build relationships, and reach revenue targets, consistently achieving ambitious sales and growth objectives.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills:

Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective solutions, leveraging data to drive sales and growth.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both written and verbally, building strong relationships and influencing key decision-makers to achieve growth targets.

Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence:

A dedicated and results‑oriented individual committed to delivering exceptional outcomes and exceeding sales and growth expectations.
