SUMMARY Serves as lead Quality Engineer on Karman projects throughout design, development, testing, qualification, and production. Supports the Director of Quality in QMS management. Reports to the Director of Quality.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Determine and execute quality plan for Karman projects through development and production.

Implement new quality inspection methodologies as required.

Support customer design review activities.

Perform in-process inspections during fabrication and assembly, including AS9102 First Articles.

Prepare Technical Data Packages (TDPs) documenting hardware deliverables.

Review Purchase Orders for accuracy, including proper contractual, project and quality flowdowns.

Generate and resolve Corrective Action Reports (CAR) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).

Lead failure investigations.

Perform supply chain risk analysis.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

2–5 years’ experience in aerospace systems quality engineering.

In-depth understanding of testing, inspection, quality issues and certification of aircraft, including all systems and particularly those associated with composite aero structures.

Expert knowledge of GD&T and Statistical Process Control implementation.

Expert knowledge of AS9100 QMS.

Experience in quantitative data analysis, measurement systems including CMM and NDT methods, reporting methodologies and MRB processes.

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Must hold or be able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
