Psychologist – St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center, North Campus (FTC‑N)

Position Overview : The St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center – North Campus (FTC‑N), a 75‑bed inpatient forensic psychiatric hospital, seeks a Missouri licensed or license‑eligible psychologist. The role is open for a start date negotiable, serving adults committed to the Department of Mental Health as incompetent to stand trial.
Hours : Saturday/Sunday 1st Shift.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Conduct individual therapy and lead group treatment sessions.
Administer and interpret psychological assessments, including neurocognitive, intellectual, and personality tests, and produce diagnostic and treatment reports.
Provide competency evaluations for the court as needed.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to treatment planning and decision‑making.
Supervise practicum students and psychology interns; provide didactic instruction to interns.
Assume leadership roles on hospital committees and special projects to maintain Joint Commission accreditation standards.
Qualifications
Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD or PhD).
Licensed Psychologist in Missouri, or eligibility for license.
If not licensed at hire, must obtain license within 18 months.
Prior experience in forensic psychiatry or competency restoration is highly desirable.
Experience with individuals with severe mental illness, neurocognitive impairment, intellectual disability, or personality disorders.
Experience treating substance use disorders is an asset.
Strong facilitation skills for multidisciplinary team collaboration.
