Assistant Coach, Women's Rowing Washington College's Athletics Department is seeking an Assistant Rowing Coach to support all aspects of our Division III intercollegiate rowing program. As a member of the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference, we are committed to excellence on the water and in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching: Assist with planning and running practices, ensuring safety standards, and providing support at competitions.
Recruiting: Identify and recruit academically qualified student-athletes, including leading a novice recruitment program.
Student-Athlete Support: Monitor academic progress, uphold conduct standards, and collaborate with athletic trainers for athlete well-being.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Collegiate rowing coaching or competition experience
CPR/First Aid certified (or ability to obtain)
Valid U.S. driver's license; DOT physical & MD Boating Certificate (or ability to obtain)
Preferred
1-2 years collegiate coaching experience
US Rowing Coaching Certification
Experience towing boat trailers
Strong knowledge of NCAA rules
Physical Requirements
Moderate physical activity, including: handling objects up to 25 pounds; standing/walking for more than 4 hours/day
