Audit Supervisor or Manager – Public Accounting (Chicago & Suburbs)

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and review audit engagements for clients across a variety of industries
Oversee engagement planning, fieldwork, and financial statement preparation
Supervise and mentor staff and seniors, providing training and performance feedback
Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor on accounting and financial reporting issues
Ensure compliance with firm policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with partners and senior leadership to support business development and firm initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required
5+ years of public accounting experience with increasing responsibility in audit
Prior supervisory or management experience
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Desire to work in a supportive, growth-oriented environment with genuine balance
