This is a per diem position. Shift pay ranges from $900 to $1800 per shift, depending on the type and timing of shifts worked. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, education, and internal equity.

Job Summary Per Diem Infectious disease physician - Newton-Wellesley Travel Medicine

Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible Infectious Disease Specialist.

Newton‑Wellesley Hospital, a member of

Mass General Brigham (MGB) , is seeking a

Board Certified or Board Eligible Infectious Disease Specialist

to join our dedicated Infectious Disease team on a

per diem

basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled physician to provide consultative care in a supportive, collegial, and patient‑centered environment.

What You’ll Do

See new travel medicine consultations during 4 hour sessions: may combine 2 sessions for a full day

Devote 30 minutes to each patient

Complete evaluation, provide counseling, and order vaccinations to be administered either in the travel medicine clinic or, if the patient prefers and if available, at their pharmacy

Provide patients with written, detailed after-visit summaries of recommendations and counseling details discussed

Is available to answer messages from patients in Patient Gateway, to answer questions and clarify recommendations/instructions

Participates in the provision of quality, evidence‑based care

Complies with all NWH and MGB policies

Demonstrates professional behavior and engages in an effective, collaborative, and collegial manner with other NWH employees, as part of a multidisciplinary team of caregivers
