Employee Relations Specialist Senior

Assists in the execution of the employee relations strategy across the organization, counseling managers through employee relations issues end-to-end including documentation, analysis, and reporting, and developing both immediate resolutions and long-term prevention plans. Responsible for tracking issues, analyzing trends, and building linkages to management development, retention efforts, and Human Resources business intelligence activity. Partners with leadership regarding policy interpretation and ensuring that policies are updated and current.
Principle Responsibilities
Serve as the point of contact for employee relations, conduct, and/or compliance concerns raised by employees or leaders and reported through the integrity line.
Conduct initial interviews and gather information for employee relations matters such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other concerns and inform appropriate Human Resources staff when additional investigation is required.
Assess the nature and severity of the complaint and either provide coaching resources or refer complex matters to appropriate team members.
Coach employees and leaders on performance and conduct related matters.
Provide counsel and guidance to leadership and staff regarding employee relations issues.
Ensure recommendations are aligned with company policies and practices.
Partner with Human Resources Business Partners on performance issues raised by leaders.
Confere with Human Resources Business Partners to provide support and recommendation on how to manage situations.
Review all performance documentation before it is delivered to ensure consistency and completeness.
Log cases in tracking system.
Analyze employee relations case trends in partnership with Human Resources Business Partners, Law Department, and Labor Relations.
Provide workplace-related recommendations/insights directly related to an investigation in accordance with company policy and practice.
Participate in key employee relations projects and/or cross-functional team initiatives.
Manage and update Human Resources policies and processes.
Build strong partnerships with Human Resources Business Partner, Law Department, Labor Relations and other partners to foster trust and accountability.
Review internal processes and make recommendations for improvement and drive solutions that support business objectives and goals.
Maintain knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to equal employment opportunity, labor relations, human resources, and stay current with evolving industry employee relations trends and challenges.
Build the skill and confidence of managers to effectively lead and address workplace issues with their employees.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or related discipline
5 to 7 years of experience within Employee Relations or Human Resources

Lifting weight up to 10 lbs occasionally, negligible weight frequently
Location & Work Arrangement Remote role with some on-site requirements at the Allina Commons Minneapolis, MN.
1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period). 8-hour day shifts, no weekends.
Pay Range $40.37 to $55.85 per hour.
