About the Program: Our Workforce Development program prepares youth and adults for meaningful employment and lifelong success. Our program supports both residential and community-based clients, offering personalized guidance in resume building, interview preparation, job search strategies, professional attire, and workplace readiness. Through our collaboration with New Village Girls' Academy, we teach high school students work readiness skills using a structured six-session curriculum covering topics such as professionalism, job searching, and job retention. At the core of our work is empowerment, helping individuals gain the skills, confidence, and support they need to thrive in the workforce and in life.
Role Summary: As the
Workforce Development Navigator,
will provide case management services to expecting and parenting Youth (EPY) exiting Los Angeles County Department of Children & Family Services County Department of Juvenile Probation, in addition to the on-site Supportive housing programs.
Schedule :Monday-Thursday, 8:30am- 6:00pm, with a flex Friday off, 8:30am-5:00pm Location: 155 N Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026 This position is a grant-funded position exists until on or before June 30, 2026, contingent upon contract funding. Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for reviewing DCFS Navigation applications and supporting documentation. Ensure collaboration and coordination among all agencies involved in the service plan's implementation and/or eligibility. Facilitate job readiness classes. Develop and maintain a database to track outcome measures of DCFS Navigation Program participants. Act as an advocate in researching, referring, and linking participants to mainstream resources and job readiness and vocational training. Visits homes, schools, and other service providers to help clients achieve their service plan goals. Maintain confidentiality as required by St. Anne's, licensing, HIPPA and other regulatory agencies. Follow states and agency laws regarding mandated reporting. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology with two years of experience working with low-income, high-risk children, teens, and families. Or a master's degree in education, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology with one year of experience working with low-income, high-risk children, teens, and families. Experience with providing job coaching, workforce development or training preferred Requires access to a reliable automobile and a valid California driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the agency's insurance carrier Bilingual and bicultural skills in Spanish, preferred
