About the Program:
Mental Health Services : Services range from Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) services to Full Service Partnership (FSP). Services include individual, family, and group therapy; play therapy; therapeutic rehabilitation services; targeted case management; psychiatric assessment and medication management support services; and parent education and partnering. Role Summary: Responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services to ensure quality client care. Ensure documentation adheres to DMH standards. Participate in an interdisciplinary team to provide a healthy, therapeutic, and safe environment for clients.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10am-7pm, flex Friday, 10am-6pm (9/80 work schedule) Location: 155 N Occidental Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026(This position is community-based services working in the field with clients at permanent supportive housing sites within Service Planning Area (SPA) 4 - LA Metro Area) This position is working with community-based clients and HSSP clients (adults, at offsite permanent supportive housing programs for chronically homeless individuals/families) Incentive: This position is eligible for an incentive of $1,500 paid after 3 months of continuous employment and a retention incentive of $1,500 after 12 months of continuous employment. Duties and Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive mental health services ensuring quality client care Document according to DMH standards Provide individual, family, play and group therapy Utilize DSM for diagnosing Conduct psycho-social assessments and treatment planning Visit homes, schools, or other service providers, as necessary Manage community and family crises involving children and parents Provide 24-hour availability and crisis intervention, as needed, including evenings and weekends Collaborate with the treatment team Coordinate client linkage within the agency and with community resources Maintain fidelity to evidenced-based practices Ensure weekly service provisions are met Connect with Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), Department of Mental Health (DMH), court systems, law enforcement, health care providers and other community liaisons Maintain confidentiality, as required Attends weekly collaboration meetings with Intensive Case Management Services staff at each off-site housing location Facilitates linkage to additional services when needed Attend required trainings on Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed Care as outlined in the program Statement of Work Completes outreach and engagement events at housing sites Develops and runs groups for program participants Collaborates with LPS designee to coordinate crisis response and placement should a psychiatric hold be required Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling is required Ability to be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences is required Experience in In-Home Services or work with adolescents preferred Strong clinical skills in individual, family, and group therapy. Physical ability to perform Pro-ACT, administer first aid/CPR Requires possession of reliable automobile, a valid California Driver's License, and a driving record acceptable to the agency's insurance carrier. Must maintain and provide proof of automotive liability insurance coverage. Ability to independently use a computer and the ability to learn necessary computer programs. Bilingual skills in Spanish required
