Director of Sales – WOIO/WUAB (Cleveland, OH) Gray Media is seeking a Director of Sales to lead revenue growth across all platforms—TV, digital, OTT, mobile, and social—at the WOIO/WUAB stations.

Salary & Schedule Salary/Wage:

$200,000 – $250,000 per year.

Shift and Schedule:

Mon – Fri (or at the manager’s discretion).

Job Type:

Full‑time.

Job Summary Director of Sales — Multi‑Platform Media (Cleveland). Lead where news, sports and innovation collide. Build what’s next with WOIO 19 News (CBS), The CW 43, WOHZ–The Rock, and WTCL Telemundo Cleveland.

Responsibilities

Lead 70+ hours of live local news and First Alert Weather each week.

Develop and sell to sports audiences covering Browns football, NCAA basketball, PGA, and network broadcasts.

Manage and monetize WOHZ–The Rock sports slate, including Cavaliers, Monsters, Charge, and local high‑school action.

Drive revenue from WTCL Telemundo Cleveland’s Spanish‑language newscasts.

Grow digital and streaming platforms with weather, breaking news and original shows.

Set strategy, build a playbook and energize a high‑performing sales team across TV, digital, OTT, mobile and social.

Forecast, budget and design scalable sales plans.

Collaborate with News, Marketing, Programming and Operations to deliver measurable results.

Maximize revenue in digital, OTT, mobile and social; identify new opportunities fast.

Create integrated solutions, sponsorships and revenue projects for local and national businesses.

Manage pricing and inventory control; motivate media executives to excel.

Qualifications

5+ years in sales leadership with a proven close rate; television management preferred.

Track record of growing local direct digital revenue.

Hands‑on expertise in Digital, OTT, Mobile and Social monetization.

Coaching experience – training, prospecting, role‑playing, leading high‑performing teams.

Proficiency with WideOrbit, WideOrbit Media Sales and Matrix.

College degree (preferred).
