Position Overview The firm is seeking a motivated
Litigation Associate Attorney with 2 to 3 years of experience
to join their team. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, eager to advance their skills, and ready to handle depositions, motions, and trial preparation while engaging directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities
Meet the 1600 billable hour requirement.
Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery.
Conduct depositions and assist in witness preparation.
Perform legal research and prepare analyses on complex issues.
Manage discovery, including reviewing and analyzing documents.
Participate in mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
Communicate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
Collaborate closely with partners and associates in a team‑focused environment.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
2–3 years of litigation experience in a California law firm (business, commercial, or real estate litigation preferred).
Experience entering billable time concurrent with work in a billing system.
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Courtroom experience (motions, depositions, trial prep) is a plus.
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Team‑oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
Compensation
Salary Range: $140,000 – $160,000 base for 2–3 years of experience.
