Job Description American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a night shift position requiring ARRT certification and MA licensure.
Responsibilities Position based in a hospital imaging center utilizing 1.2T Hitachi Oasis Vertical Field and 3T GE Premier MRI scanners Two-technologist operation with RN onsite from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM for IV placements Night shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with rotating weekend coverage Facility open 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM Monday through Friday and 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekends EPIC charting system is used; prior experience preferred Duties include patient positioning, immobilization, selection of technical factors, and data reformatting for optimal MRI scans Responsible for preparing patients, explaining procedures, transporting, and ensuring patient safety Perform daily quality assurance on MRI scanners and maintain records Required to prepare and clean equipment and scanner room for each patient Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from the hospital for standard travel rate eligibility; local candidates receive a reduced rate Parking fees may apply and validated parking is not available Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos system
Requirements Current ARRT certification required Active Massachusetts state license required, no conditional licenses accepted; license required if applicable Current BLS certification from AHA accepted; Red Cross, CHSF or Military accepted for some locations No minimum years of prior MRI experience required Flu vaccination required with no exemptions allowed
