Upstream Reservoir Engineer – Oil & Gas – Senior Manager – Consulting (EY) Location: Anywhere in Country

Join EY’s growing consulting practice. In this role you’ll deliver high‑impact reservoir engineering solutions to leading energy clients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and leveraging your expertise to optimize asset performance and drive digital transformation across the upstream value chain.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of complex reservoir engineering processes and solutions, ensuring quality and risk management.

Build and manage client relationships, driving revenue generation and leading teams with broad visibility.

Lead client engagements from planning through execution and closure.

Develop resource plans and budgets for engagements, ensuring economics are effectively managed.

Provide leadership and direction to team members, offering feedback and guidance to enhance performance.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Technical leadership in reservoir modeling, production forecasting, and reserves evaluation.

Design and validate production calculations for forecasting modules with accuracy and consistency.

Apply advanced analytical techniques to evaluate reservoir performance across asset types, including unconventional plays.

Utilize tools such as Aries, ComboCurve, and Mosaic.

Collaborate with geoscientists, data scientists, and consultants to deliver integrated solutions.

Contribute to thought leadership, methodologies, and accelerators within the Energy sector practice.

Proven experience managing complex projects and delivering results.

Strong analytical skills and sound judgment in selecting methods.

Leadership capabilities in guiding teams and managing change.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred).

5‑7 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in Aries, ComboCurve, Mosaic, and other reservoir engineering tools.

Demonstrated ability to design and review rigorous production forecasting calculations.

Experience with reserves reporting and familiarity with SEC and PRMS guidelines.

Strong negotiation and influencing skills (desirable).

Emotional agility and ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics (desirable).

Prior consulting experience or aptitude for client‑facing roles (desirable).

Familiarity with digital oilfield technologies, analytics, and cloud platforms (desirable).

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Proactive mindset and passion for innovation in the energy sector.
