Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPeoplelink Staffing Solutions is hiring a Lead Quality Technician in Charlotte, NC.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH WIRE HARNESS Experience in Auto manufacturing, Aircraft Manufacturing, or Farm equipment manufacturing.

The Lead Quality Technician will oversee the onsite quality inspector team to ensure products meet customer expectations and quality standards. Working at production facilities and customer locations, they supervise inspections, verify materials against specifications, and document findings in quality systems. The Quality Lead Technician will act as the primary onsite liaison, ensuring adherence to company and site-specific guidelines while managing workflow and reporting

Weekly pay

6:30am or 7am-3:30pm Possibility of 2nd shift hours on occasions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversee the onsite quality inspector team (which could include I.C’s, employees, and/or TA Techs).

Ensure effective communication between the team and corporate operations.

Assist with training quality assurance staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the onsite quality inspector team, ensuring clear communication, proper workflow, and adherence to PPE requirements.

Conduct inspections using industry-appropriate methods, including visual comparisons, precision measuring tools, and functionality testing.

Record and report inspection results with detailed summaries of compliant, repaired, and rejected parts, ensuring accurate and timely data input into internal systems.

Record reports for TA tech hourly information.

Complete timecard for each TA tech daily.

Entry and Review inspection reports and timekeeping records for the TA Techs as well as your own (When TA tech on-site)

Establish, implement, and monitor inspection standards and workflows.

Collaborate with customers to understand and follow the work provided instructions.

Maintain and manage onsite tools and equipment, ensuring proper calibration, use, and storage.

Review reports and timecards for onsite quality teams, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Adhere to strict safety and site-specific guidelines to maintain a compliant and hazard-free work environment.

Manage PPE inventory for onsite team.

Take on additional projects or responsibilities as needed to meet customer and organizational goals.

Act as liaison between the customer and the on-site management team when necessary.

Arrive and be prepared to start work at the designated start of shift time.

Update Dot projects with new/changing information.

Continuous learning through training courses.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to closely follow quality standards and inspection protocols.

Decision-making skills for inspections and audits, including determining acceptable vs.

unacceptable features.

Ability to travel frequently to multiple customer facilities as required.

Proficiency with basic measuring devices, including calipers and micrometers ().

Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications ().

Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

Ability to work independently and maintain accountability for assigned responsibilities.

Education/Experience

High School Diploma/GED and/or Technical Certificate.

2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, with quality inspection experience .

Basic auditor experience desirable
