Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is a member of the Human Resources team and is responsible for assisting in the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of all human resource functions. As a member of the team, the role represents the department and the organization with a high level of professionalism, effective communication, and comfort ensuring confidentiality. Duties & Responsibilities

Contribute to the implementation and coordination of human resources practices associated with the full employment process including selection, onboarding, training, evaluation, retention, and termination. Communicate with payroll and operations departments to ensure all needs for new employees are met. Contribute to talent management processes, including advertising of open roles, participation in job fairs, and recommending candidates to department heads and hiring managers. Develop and support the use of HRIS and other HR systems and data‑tracking tools. Coordinate and facilitate effective communications and training for managers and employees related to HR policies and procedures. Coordinate professional development activities, including administration of the learning management system and connecting the organization to high‑value professional development resources. Provide continuous opportunities for professional and personal development related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives. Participate in compensation processes including pay‑grade development and equitable compensation decision‑making tools. Administer benefits, coordinate annual benefit open enrollment, process benefit enrollment changes, and invoice reconciliation. Educate staff on the value of a comprehensive benefits package and develop retirement investment education. Manage off‑boarding processes for all departing employees, including COBRA administration and education. Contribute to workplace safety, serve as backup for employee injury reporting, and communicate with workers’ compensation insurance carrier. Maintain personnel information and records in accordance with agency protocols, ensuring confidentiality and legal compliance. Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or senior management team. Education & Requirements

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist. Previous HRIS and payroll experience. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and database management skills. Highly organized and detail‑oriented. Ability to efficiently balance concurrent and changing priorities. Ability to create, implement, and maintain a full range of HR related systems. Demonstrated resolution and result‑oriented focus. Ability to effectively influence actions and options of individuals at all levels of the organization; collaborative and cooperative work style. Organizational profitability and maximization of organizational human and financial resources. Seniority Level
