Class Description

Adjunct Faculty teach day and/or evening courses in lecture and/or laboratory classroom settings. The expectation is to prepare and deliver course instruction, follow common course outlines and instruction policies, grade, critique and evaluate student work, provide timely and periodic feedback to students, keep and submit accurate classroom records and attend required training sessions, professional development and departmental meetings.
Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Physics, or a related field of study.
Upcoming courses are inclusive of freshman and sophomore level electrical, mechanical, and general engineering material, including, but not limited to: engineering design, statistics, dynamics, mechanical systems troubleshooting, and fundamentals of electronics, digital electronics, communications systems, and engineering mathematics.
Prior teaching experience or graduate level training preferred.

Supplemental Retirement Plans:
403(b) and 457(b) available to all CCBC employees (Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees).
Roth 403(b) Feature:
Employees may contribute traditional pre‑tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post‑tax dollars simultaneously. Savings limits are combined for Traditional 403(b) and Roth 403(b) contributions.
Deferred Compensation Plan:
457(b) offered through VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Salary reduction authorization form is needed.
Parking:
Free. Must obtain a parking permit from the Department of Public Safety to use on all campuses.
Sick and Safe Leave:
Paid sick and safe leave is earned by all part-time employees including credit and non-credit adjunct faculty, part-time associates and other part-time employees.
