Compensation, Payroll & Benefits Specialist Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a Compensation, Payroll & Benefits Specialist who will support our compensation strategy, payroll, and benefit functions across various locations, including Michigan, California, Georgia, Alabama, and Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

Compensation (40%)

– Assess and enhance compensation framework; conduct market analysis and benchmarking; design and administer programs; develop new hire compensation recommendations; prepare analytics; identify process improvements; maintain compliance with FLSA, ERISA and other regulations.

Payroll (30%)

– Support ADP payroll implementation; process payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple states; manage payroll changes; handle off‑cycle payments, garnishments, and audits; resolve discrepancies; ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws.

Benefits Administration (20%)

– Maintain benefit records in ADP and platform; reconcile deductions; collaborate with carriers; administer enrollment changes, deductions, terminations, vendor billing; support new carrier changes and employee events.

Other Responsibilities (10%)

– Assist with HR projects and initiatives; provide general administrative support.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5–7 years of experience in compensation, payroll, or benefits administration (multi‑state experience preferred).

Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.

Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (SuccessFactors, ADP, etc.) and Microsoft Office.

Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred

Knowledge of FLSA, ERISA, IRS payroll regulations.

Experience supporting both exempt and non‑exempt populations.

Ability to interpret and apply benchmarking data.

Exposure to international or global mobility programs.
