What you will do:
Meet with new and existing customers to build and strengthen relationships
Meet with customers, engineers, vendors, sub‑contractors, and other business development people within the market to find opportunities, understand conditions and help build our forecast
Qualify project opportunities by talking to customers to learn scope, risk, how they plan to go to market, when the work will take place, and when the work will be awarded
Work with our customers to develop a clear understanding of project scopes and clearly communicate this information to internal team members
Prepare proposals and presentations for customer interviews
Review plans and specifications to understand the scope of work
What we are looking for:
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel for cost estimating and engineering functions
Possess client management skills; ability to manage customer relationships, perceptions, and expectations
Knowledge and interest in business and management principles involved in strategic planning, accounting, cost forecasting, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and the ability to interpret computerized cost data
Ability to demonstrate foresight and problem‑solving skills to make sound business decisions
Ability to travel as necessary to jobs and meetings
