MRI Technologist
to support our clients medical facility based in
Peoria, IL . This is a
local contract or travel contract

Job Details: Perform high-quality MRI scans on
inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients
using
GE 1.5T (450W)
and
3T (750W)
scanners Follow
MRI safety protocols
and ensure all safety guidelines are maintained for patients, visitors, and staff Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures while providing excellent patient care and comfort Start IVs for contrast-enhanced exams and manage contrast administration as required Use
EPIC
EMR system to document, schedule, and track imaging procedures Maintain detailed image records and ensure all scans are properly labeled and transmitted to
PACS Adjust scanning protocols and utilize standard acquisition sequences based on clinical indications Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and MRI assistants to ensure smooth workflow Maintain clean and organized work areas and restock supplies as needed Participate in department orientation, comply with all hospital policies, and contribute to team operations Adhere to Level I trauma center standards for emergency readiness and imaging responsiveness Cover one weekend per month and occasional holidays as required
Skills Required-: Proficient with
GE MRI scanners
(1.5T and 3T platforms) Strong knowledge of
MRI safety practices and screening protocols Experience in scanning in a
trauma-level environment
preferred Skilled in
starting IVs
and managing contrast-enhanced MRI studies Familiarity with
EPIC
EMR and
PACS
for imaging workflow Ability to perform standard and specialty MRI sequences independently Strong communication and teamwork abilities Attention to detail and patient-focused approach Capable of working
night shifts
and independently managing workflow
Education: Graduate of an
accredited Radiologic Technology
or
MRI Technology
program
Licenses & Certifications: ARRT (R)
Required ARRT (MR)
Required BLS
Basic Life Support
(AHA)
Required Active Illinois Radiologic Technologist License
Required or in process
