Job Summary Upland Mechanical, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and closeout of mechanical construction projects. The successful candidate will maintain the company’s standard of quality, safety, and schedule performance while collaborating with field crews, estimating, procurement, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in driving overall project flow from inception through completion.

Assist project accounting in monthly billings, collections, and schedule of values.

Collaborate with field crews to maintain a safe work environment and address safety issues.

Review contract and bid documents, conduct walk‑throughs, and verify scope of work.

Maintain document control (insurance, bonding, permits, submittals, RFI’s, change orders) and ensure all drawings are distributed to the field.

Generate purchase orders for major equipment and sub‑contractors, coordinating shipping dates.

Attend all required meetings (internal and external) to discuss scheduling, delivery, scope, and solutions to setbacks.

Assist field personnel in project closeout, obtain as‑built drawings, and request CAD from the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team.

Escalate critical or sensitive issues to the Project Manager with recommended resolutions.

Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety programs.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction management, preferably in mechanical or building services projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and construction industry documentation standards.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and AutoCAD; experience with project management and document control software is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and analytical abilities, and a proactive, detail‑oriented work style.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple tasks, and maintain quality and safety standards.

Physical Demands The role requires prolonged sitting, frequent walking, reaching, and handling of tools; occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Commute to field locations is required.
