Manage end-to-end implementation of Automated Weather Observing Systems (AWOS), Virtual Weather Observing Systems (VWOS), and Weather Camera Program (WCAM) projects Develop and oversee detailed project scope of work (SOW) documents, schedules, budgets, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, logistics, and training Act as the primary interface with FAA stakeholders and local site operators on system readiness and execution Provide timely project reporting and status updates to leadership and FAA stakeholders Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field At least 10+ years of project management experience in construction, aviation, weather systems, or mission-critical technology programs Demonstrated experience leading construction/installation projects in geographically dispersed or remote environments Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations Preferred Qualifications
Experience with FAA weather observation systems (AWOS, VWOS) and weather camera networks (WCAM) Candidate currently located in Alaska or prior work experience in Alaska or similar operational environments with challenging logistics PMP or PgMP certification #ConstructionManagement #ProjectManagement #AviationSafety #CareerOpportunity #EngineeringServices We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
