What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Lead environmental compliance activities aligned with FAA and employer standards, including air quality, water management, and waste handling
Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments of project sites to verify environmental performance and regulatory compliance
Integrate environmental and sustainability considerations into project design and planning phases
Develop and submit environmental deliverables, reports, and compliance documents in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements
Conduct environmental awareness and compliance training for project personnel and stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred) with 8+ years of progressive experience or 12 years of experience in environmental compliance, permitting, and management
Demonstrated successful experience achieving NEPA permit approvals under expedited timelines
Knowledge of FAA environmental requirements and applicable EPA and state environmental regulations
Experience working within ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Professional certifications such as CIH, REM, or PE (Environmental)
Strong understanding of environmental compliance and risk management
Experience interfacing with federal agencies, contractors, and regulatory bodies
Analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on proactive prevention
Effective leadership and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
