Overview
REGULATORY LICENSING SUPPORT SPECIALIST I Under general direction, this position is responsible for preparing and maintaining all logging files, reviewing all forms, applications another paperwork necessary to ensure the programs’ success. Specifically, this position supports the forest-products industry by preparing certifications and/or licenses for both individual loggers and businesses. This position is also responsible for receiving, reviewing and complying with requests for information filed pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act to ensure the Division is always in compliance. Maintains records for Certified Logger certifications; organizes, publicizes and processes the completion of all training; reviews, complete, approves and/or denies all program applications; maintains program-specific database; creates and provides photo identification cards for approved loggers; and develops and submits weekly, monthly and annual reports as required by rule or law determined necessary by leadership. Maintains records for all Timber License applications; reviews, completes, approves and/or denies applications; verifies compliance with other regulatory agencies, including but not limited to, the Secretary of State, Department of Revenue, Workforce WV and the Insurance Commission to ensure good standing; maintains program-specific database; develops and submits weekly, monthly and annual reports as required by rule or law determined necessary by leadership. High school diploma or the equivalent. Experience:
Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid clerical experience. Substitution:
Successful completion of college coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience at the rate of one (1) year of experience for thirty (30) credit hours of education.
