The Sheet Metal Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing sheet metal materials and related components for manufacturing and fabrication operations. This role ensures timely delivery of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting production schedules. Total Mechanical does not sponsor work visas- applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. to be considered. Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Source and procure sheet metal materials (e.g., fabricators, materials, accessories, consumables) and related supplies. Evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing, and delivery timelines, capturing in vendor score card format. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure material availability. Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation. Coordinate, track and resolve issues related to delivery logistics including delays, quality concerns, or invoice discrepancies. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand material specifications and requirements. Stay informed about and advise company leadership on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and alternative materials. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Qualifications

2 + years of sheet metal purchasing experience, or experience working for a sheet metal supplier required. High school diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree preferred. Team player with a positive attitude. Flexible and able to prioritize deadline-driven projects. Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, and compliance best practices. Proven expertise in contract negotiation and management, with a history of securing favorable terms and mitigating risk. Reliable and committed. Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to use a computer and talk on the phone. Must be available to visit suppliers or production facilities, which includes driving, walking, and standing. Seniority level
