Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker's gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
Kwik Trip's Maintenance Department is seeking a self-motivated Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair industrial ammonia refrigeration systems while supporting safe, reliable operations across our facilities.
What You'll Do
Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. Execute system pump downs or isolations to facilitate opening, rebuilding, replacement, and repairs as needed. Conduct and analyze routine daily tasks, including equipment evaluations for proper operating parameters. Troubleshoot and assist production departments with maintenance and emergency cooling issues (ammonia and HVAC). Teach and mentor other technicians in advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. Complete Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance documentation. Follow blueprints and diagrams to diagnose and complete repairs. Read and apply applicable codes, regulations, manuals, and procedures. What You Bring
Minimum of five years' experience operating and/or servicing industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. CARO and CIRO certification (or equivalent) or the ability to obtain CARO/CIRO. Knowledge of electricity, electrical motors, controls, and wiring for troubleshooting and repairs. Basic welding skills to perform equipment repairs. Ability to read and understand electrical, building, P&ID, and system/equipment blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. Commitment to completing maintenance to required specifications and codes/regulations. Strong communication skills to collaborate across levels and communicate project scope and requirements. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and applicable codes/regulations. Working knowledge of Maximo and Microsoft Office programs. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical Qualifications
Stand up to 8 hours; lift up to 100 pounds; bend, reach, and twist frequently; work in a variety of weather temperatures and conditions.

Work Schedule
