Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Supervising Accounting Senior to join their Financial Services firm in their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
Manage the full-cycle general ledger financial close process and related activities Oversee monthly close activity including journal entries and account reconciliations Review and analyze the general ledger activity and journal entries Perform balance sheet analysis, including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, AR, etc. Prepare monthly financial statements as well as monthly/quarterly FOCUS reports Calculate monthly net capital, including non-allowable assets, haircut charges, etc. Produce regulatory filings for broker-dealers and annual financial statements Support clients with their annual audits and regulatory exams Requirements
3+ years of accounting experience Financial services or brokerage background Excellent communication skills Analytical, flexible, and a team player Series 27 FinOp license strongly preferred CPA strongly preferred Skilled in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
