Our client is a business management firm. They seek a Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
Daily client activity, including requests and timely follow up on all outstanding matters
Review Associate’s work, including AP, AR, cash receipt, journal entries, general ledger, etc.
Assess bank balances and statements and approve transfers as needed
Monitor credit card activity, fraud alerts, and credit score issues
Oversee insurance renewals and claims, and assist with home and car purchases
Work closely with the tax team regarding client taxes
Carry out other projects as needed
Requirements
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting
5+ years of accounting and bookkeeping experience
Experience in the client services field
Knowledge of the general ledger, AP/AR, insurance, payroll, etc.
Familiar with touring and tour reconciliation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to follow through
Commitment to professionalism, timeliness, and accuracy
Skilled in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, BillQuick, and Xero
