Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Brentwood, Maryland. In this role, you will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting various accounting functions. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting tasks. Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Utilize QuickBooks to record financial transactions and maintain bookkeeping records.
- Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Perform data entry tasks to update financial databases and track transactions.
- Assist with expense reporting and budget reconciliation to support financial planning.
- Monitor and analyze cash flow to identify potential discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Prepare financial reports for management to track company performance.
- Support inventory management by maintaining cost control measures and financial records.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline payment processing and credit card transactions.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations in all financial activities. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial records and transactions.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
- Skilled in processing invoices and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Familiarity with expense reporting and budget reconciliation.
