Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Fresno, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining organized records. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong accounting skills and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying and reconciling invoices.
- Manage accounts receivable activities such as recording payments and monitoring outstanding balances.
- Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records and perform routine entries.
- Input and validate financial data to ensure precision in reports and documentation.
- Handle invoice processing tasks, including reviewing and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Assist in preparing financial documents and reports for internal and external use.
- Maintain organized and efficient filing systems for accounting records.
- Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries.
- Support the team in month-end closing procedures and reconciliation tasks. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in handling invoice processing and reconciliation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with standard accounting practices and procedures.
