Maintenance Technician

Join our team to work in a state-of-the-art facility that manufactures high-end stainless steel kitchen appliances, including stoves, microwaves, and refrigerators. As a maintenance technician, you will be a versatile professional, skilled in both mechanical and electrical repairs, ensuring the smooth operation of all plant equipment. Responsibilities: Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment such as lasers, presses, robots, automated conveyor lines, thermoforming machines, and foam forming machines. Conduct minor welding and fabrication tasks as needed. Handle electrical work up to 480 volts and PLC troubleshooting, primarily with Allen-Bradley and some Siemens systems. Participate in special projects as required. Provide your own basic tools while more expensive tools will be supplied. Collaborate with contracted services for high-end electrical and forklift maintenance. Essential Skills: Minimum of 5 years experience as an industrial maintenance technician. Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Strong skills in repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting. Experience with electrical systems, schematic and blueprint reading, and PLC troubleshooting. A 2-year technical degree is required. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in industrial environments and working with various manufacturing equipment. Why Work Here? Work Environment: 600,000 square-foot facility, known for being one of the cleanest and well-maintained manufacturing facilities in Southern Wisconsin. The facility prioritizes maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. There is flexibility in working hours with options to work up to 60 hours based on workload, but overtime is not mandatory. A $2.50 shift premium is offered for the 3rd shift. Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, Wisconsin. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $60,000.00 - $80,000.00/yr. Direct hire. Very large, clean, automated and climate controlled facility - always 72 degrees! Will pay for schooling. Really strong benefits and insurance - also the option to join the union at 90 days if you want. They offer different levels of pay bumps - they will send you back to school and there are 11 courses you can take. High end of maintenance pay is $37/hr before the premium. Tons of room for advancement and into different departments: welding, maintenance, machining. Maintenance supervisor is really easy to get along with. Don't need to work OT if you don't want to. Don't do layoffs within maintenance. $1.50 premium for 2nd shift. $2.50 for 3rd shift. Pay scale; $27-37/hr before premium. Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Madison, WI.
