Continuous Improvement Manager Location:
Suffolk, VA
Mission: Our client, a producer of premium beverage products, is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to add to their team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving organizational efficiency efforts to improve performance, streamline operations, and reduce costs by implementing and overseeing continuous improvement strategies.
Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant environment (and/or other singular qualifier under Competencies/Culture below).
Compensation/Benefits: Compensation: 100 - 110k, bonus Medical, Dental, Vision Paid Vacation/Holidays Retirement Benefits Relocation What you'll be responsible for:
Determine CI deployment strategies to include road mapping, priorities, and success criteria Review facility capability and environment in order to develop initiatives and execute improvements in the technology, systems, quality, cost, efficiencies, and yield Support the development of lean manufacturing processes; continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training and employee involvement. Manage Continuous Improvement events resulting in associate skill and knowledge development and KPI performance improvements. Support facility with the identification and scoping of improvement opportunities and drive projects to ensure strategic business objectives are met Develop tools and processes for implementing and sustaining continuous improvement activity at all levels of the supply chain function Drive lean training and implement a lean toolkit utilizing PDCA; value stream mapping; SMED; Kaizen, problem solving, 5S, DMAIC, etc. Develop best practices to help SC teams deploy initiatives successfully; govern certification and qualification standards in partnership with Quality and Food Safety teams Competencies/Culture:
Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management or related field Certified in Lean Management, Six Sigma Black Belt preferred 5+ years of Continuous Improvement leadership experience in a food & beverage processing environment Experience with CI, Lean, Kaisen Projects Experience with business transformation and process improvements Experience with Mini-Tab Leadership experience
