Project/Maintenance Technician Needed
The ideal candidate should possess a very strong knowledge of home repairs, OSHA safety rules and regulations and be proficient in writing or using a computer to enter work order details and report information.
A minimum of two years of experience as a maintenance technician, ideally within the property management industry, is required. Specialized skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical or HVAC are encouraged but not required.
Applicant must have a tidy, professional appearance and be able to communicate effectively with , clients, co-workers and supervisors.
Job duties for this position include:
Perform maintenance tasks such as basic carpentry, painting, basic plumbing/electrical repairs to ensure that properties properly maintained
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate
Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
Coordinate work with sub-contractors
Routine inspections, photos and work order updates
Routine grounds maintenance including picking up trash, and other duties as assigned
Ability to assist with after hours maintenance calls as needed
Assisting the Property Manager with tasks and oversight of projects
Position Requirements:
This is a full-time hourly position with benefits for a small local property management company servicing single family, multi-family homes and homeowner associations. This position requires that you have your own basic tools.
Prospect must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation and a clean driving record. A back ground check is required.
Pay will be based on technical skills and experience.
