We're recruiting a Controller for Concord Eye Center. The Controller manages and analyzes financial statements, payroll, budgets, and tax compliance issues. This role oversees the financial activities (including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, revenue cycle management, and financial compliance items) and ensures the company's economic health and stability.
Concord Eye Center is a full-service ophthalmology practice with a reputation for excellence. From pediatric to retina care, their board-certified ophthalmologists and optometrists provide surgical and comprehensive eye care for the whole family.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a healthcare practice with multiple owners and at least $20 million in annual revenue. Immediate past employment in at least one of the following positions: Controller, Director of Finance, Accounting Manager. Experience with multisite accounting/reporting and consolidation of financial statements. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Experience with accounting software, including QuickBooks. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel. Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights. High level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with healthcare-specific financial regulations and compliance requirements. Leadership and people-development skills. Proven ability to lead and manage change. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to build consensus among stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial management, including the following:
Manage financial operations (accounts payable, receivable, payroll, general ledger). Implement and maintain proper accounting controls. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Oversee and audit accounting and computer systems for financial and revenue cycle management. Prepare and oversee all bookkeeping and financial reporting functions. Monitor billing and collection processes to maximize accounts receivable. Manage cash flow planning and ensure fund availability. Develop and utilize predictive models and financial analyses for operational insights. Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules. Provide financial insights and recommendations to CEO and Board of Directors.
Reporting (including but not limited to financial statements, budgets, forecasts, P&L, KPI dashboard and metrics, balance sheet, budget-to-actual, accounts receivable, provider productivity, physician compensation, etc.). Development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. Leadership of finance staff. Collaboration on salary, incentives, benefits, etc.
The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $180,000, dependent upon skills and experience.
