Ledgent Finance & Accounting has partnered with a leading construction firm seeking an experienced
Accounts Receivable and Billing Coordinator
to join their growing finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing end-to-end billing and collections processes within the construction industry. Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and process customer invoices based on project contracts, schedules, and milestones Ensure timely and accurate billing in compliance with construction contract terms (progress, T&M, and retainage billing) Track and reconcile accounts receivable transactions, payments, and outstanding balances Maintain documentation related to billings, lien releases, and customer correspondence Partner with project managers and accounting staff to resolve billing discrepancies Monitor collections, follow up with customers, and manage aging reports Assist with month-end close activities related to revenue recognition and AR reconciliation Process and apply payments, checks, and electronic deposits Support general accounting functions, audits, and ad-hoc financial projects as needed Qualifications
3+ years of experience in
Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Accounting , preferably within the
construction industry Strong understanding of construction billing methods (AIA, progress billing, retainage, etc.) Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
and
ERP/accounting systems
(e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, CMiC, or similar) Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Compensation & Benefits
